The experiences of Australians during World War 2 affected people, especially women around the world and throughout Australia. Australian women's roles greatly changed during World War 2 for the better. This improved their status and opportunity for future career success. During World War 2, certain causes and individuals impacted women across the country, as they began to start occupations that were commonly known as 'man jobs'. This impacted the war efforts for the rest of World War 2, along with originating many different opinions on it. Although some were for the idea and others were against during World War 2, to this day, fortunately some positive changes remain the same.

Most women were happier in these new roles, having something to be proud of and knowing they were doing something very important for their country.Many women became influential to others, being looked up to by many which changed the grading system from then on. Not only did this benefit all women by giving them a place in society, it helped the government when it came to recruiting and helping men at war. Without the women, the men could not have gone and fought for the country.Opportunities for the future were opened for women around the world after WWII. Still to this day, women are in important jobs and doing what was considered back then as 'man' jobs. Without this change back in 1939 to 1945, where would Australian women be today? Would we still be slaving away in the household, waiting for our husbands to come home from work; or would men still be at war? The change was a very significant part in the war and has helped women since.
